Limited Brands May comp store sales up 7%

Specialty retailer Limited Brands reported a comparable store sales increase of 7 percent for the four weeks ended May 27th 2006 compared to the four weeks ended May 28th 2005.

Net sales increased 7 percent to $719.4 million compared to net sales of $672.9 million last year.

The company reported a comparable store sales increase of 5 percent for the seventeen weeks ended May 27th 2006. Net sales increased 6 percent to $2.796 billion compared to net sales of $2.648 billion last year.

Limited Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, C.O. Bigelow, Express, Limited Stores, White Barn Candle Co and Henri Bendel, presently operates 3,556 specialty stores.
