Tasmanian native Alannah Hill is reigning the Australian fashion market under the intensely feminine Alannah Hill label.
The entry of new flock of fashion designers Arabella Ramsay, Alice McCall, Kate Sylvester and Caravana in the Australian fashion arena, has forced Hill to shift her interest to corporate wear and exclusive couture evening gowns.
A fortnight ago, the designer launched a collection of corporate suiting and evening wear, with her debut couture collection hitting stores few weeks ago.
She had already carved a niche by creating feminine fabrics like floral georgettes, glossy satins and sugary satins. Now her new corporate line is a sexy work wear with a peek-a-boo bit of lace, a special twist like a bow at the back and little puffed sleeves.
Hill's couture collection made from exclusive French fabrics and embellished with handmade buttons and Swarovski crystals, can be purchased as bridal dresses and bridesmaids' frocks.
This new style of Alannah Hill will definitely be a hit among the fashionistas of Australia.
