For Christian Dior haute couture show held on January 22, 2007, John Galliano selected Puccini's tragic love story 'Madame Butterfly' as the theme. He has been with Dior since last ten years.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of New Look, which turned Christian Dior into the greatest postwar fashion brand, models flaunted exquisite geisha-inspired gowns designed by Galliano.
Galliano respects the precision tailoring and hard skills needed for fashion designing, also he can change the look of Dior every season. These factors have brought him success in Paris.
Tiny obi-wrapped waists, origami folded sleeves, chiffon and stiff satin featuring embroidery were exhibited under the Madame Butterfly theme.
