Dubai's status as the regional centre for wellness and beauty in the Middle East is set to receive a further boost with Beautyworld 2007 and Wellness and Spas 2007 that open their doors next month from May 20-22 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Organisers Messe Frankfurt have confirmed that the two shows have attracted the industries' leading names eager to capitalise on the growing reputation of the emirate as a must-visit destination for luxury makeovers and rejuvenating breaks.

Exhibition Manager for Wellness & Spas, Susan Amin, is in no doubt that the Wellness and Spas event will cement the city's status as a haven for travellers seeking a recuperating vacation.

“Of the four world class spas that were voted as being located in the Middle East by the Leading Hotels of the World group, three are to be found in Dubai,” she says. “Not only that, hotels in Dubai offering such amenities are increasing by 17% per year and by 2015, it is highly likely that there will be more than 200 establishments containing world class facilities, making the city the top spa destination in the world."

"This year's Wellness and Spas trade fair is perfectly placed to outline the new trends and popular treatments within this burgeoning industry; such as medical spas, dry and wet spas, space humidification, aromatherapy and relaxation techniques.” Ms. Amin adds.

Sales of cosmetics and beauty products across the Middle East grew by 12% to reach AED 8 billion last year and Beautyworld 2007 will be highlighting the latest from the world of fashion and style.
