International Footwear and Leather Goods Week, SIPIEL, is continuing the preparations for its forthcoming edition, which will take place between Thursday 27th September and Saturday 29th September 2007 in the even-numbered halls at Feria de Madrid.

In the same way as at previous editions, various complementary activities will coincide with the trade exhibition over a period of several days, endowing the event with an important added-value dimension.

Thus, visitors to SIPIEL will have the opportunity to see the exhibition entitled "Mírame, Mírame" (Look at Me! Look at Me!), a selection of photographic works in which clothing and footwear items cease to be merely inanimate and functional objects in order to assume a leading role in a series of different stories.

In short, this will be a multimedia exhibition that presents a series of images of the physical exhibition, which can be seen at the Clothing Museum of Madrid up until 30th September and, subsequently, at the Footwear Museum of Elda.

This multimedia exhibition, located in the connecting-area between Halls 8 and 10, will present the works of a number of established artists and photographers: Chema Madoz; José Luis Santalla; Laura Torrado; Ciuco Gutiérrez; Rosa Muñoz; Ouka Leele; Manuel de los Galames; Estefanía Grandío; Isabel Muñoz; Miguel Oriola; Rafael Liaño; Miguel Trillo; Carlos de Andrés; Alberto García Alix and Daniel Canogar.

In this exhibition we can highlight images as striking as the following: a shoe whose heel has been turned into an inverted Eiffel Tower; a pair of boots walking up some stairs; a cupboard full of clothing standing in the middle of a forest; and a pair of young punks standing in front of a shop window containing bridal dresses, among many others. In short, here we will find a different perspective on fashion and accessories through a series of images that will leave nobody indifferent.

The jewellery company, Swarovski, will be present at the next edition of MODACALZADO, supported by its main clients from the footwear industry. This Austrian company will present Crystallized.

Avenue, an exhibition featuring an exclusive and spectacular selection of shoes made of crystal. The exhibition will be located in the GLAMOUR section, in Hall 10 at Feria de Madrid.
