International buyers have become increasingly interested in high energy British brands that showcase at Pure London. August 2010 will see 49% of the show made up of British labels proving Pure London is a hunting ground for international visitors to source British brands. February 2010 attracted a record number of international buyers with 15% of total visitors coming from overseas including buyers from Japan, Russia, China, Spain, Scandinavia, France, Germany, Greece, US, Ukraine and Italy. With the Euro and the Dollar becoming increasingly stronger against the pound, it has never been a better time for international buyers to visit Pure London, to source original and stylish British labels.
Desmond Wong, Managing Director of UK brand Almost Famous commented “Every season we exhibit at Pure London, our international database grows and grows as the show attracts a lot of global buyers.” Almost Famous will be back with their Spring/Summer 2011 collection taking inspiration from outer space. Eclipse prints with animated colours of sun orange, night blue and beaming white through to romantic flushes of nude, blush pink, pewter and dove grey are all constructed into feminine silhouettes, spring knits and signature dresses.
Influenced by sportswear with super sexy body-cons, contrast piping, sports mesh, sheer inserts and colour flashes Fullcircle's Spring Summer 2011 collection is not to be missed! Top British designers Olivia Rubin, Ian Stuart London, Anoushka G and Orion London will be on show for visitors to browse. Plus Anonymous by Ross + Bute and Betty Jackson Two will be showcased in the new Pure Premium section.
Admired by the likes of Cheryl Cole, who was recently spotted in one of their designs, Pink Label will be launching their Diamond range at the show consisting of beautiful designed bridal dresses with gorgeous beading and detail. These versatile dresses are designed to be worn more than once. After seasons of success, Darling, Nougat London, Fever, Part Two, Jackpot, Vero Moda Very, Aftershock and Soaked in Luxury will be presenting their Spring Summer 2011 collections.
Britain's biggest streetwear brand, Bench will be returning to the show. Originating from the late 80s as a niche t-shirt company the brand now has strong association with the Manchester music scene and the underground explosion which surrounds the city. Bench's Spring Summer 2011 collection takes inspiration from sports culture and a city vibe with clean cut silhouettes in heritage fabrics being the core of the range. Ringspun, who's humble beginnings started in Manchester in the late 90s, will also return to the show with their Spring Summer 2011 collection plus a new injection range for short order. Ringspun has developed a huge brand following, maintaining a northern spirit and inspiration.
This season Pure London will showcase the very best BA Graduate fashion design talent in the UK, with the finalists of this year's Graduate Fashion Week students appearing on the main Pure catwalk.
