Pitti W N.7, the Pitti Immagine fair-event devoted to special projects for women's fashion, will be held in Florence from 11 to 14 January 2011, concomitantly with Pitti Uomo 79. An exclusive selection of 80 international brands will present absolute premieres of their 2011-2012 fall-winter collections in the Dogana on via Valfonda, next to the Fortezza da Basso.

“Pitti W continues to be the place for keeping ahead of the game”, says Agostino Poletto, deputy general manager of Pitti Immagine, “it is a strategic platform for preview launches and specific projects, single product and capsule collections linked to women's fashion. At Pitti W the product is the real protagonist: in response to a need expressed by many buyers, the collections will be increasingly built around a selection of key items that are distinguished by their quality and carefully tailored details but which, at the same time, have an excellent quality-price ratio.

“The event also expresses the lifestyles of contemporary women, offering a broader selection of proposals, ranging from the world of fragrances to vintage remakes. The layout designed by Oliviero Baldini features a new approach to the space used – everything is more open to enhance dialogue with the products and increase their visibility”.

The special areas return: Fragranze and Vintage for Pitti W
At this edition, Pitti W will once again be presenting Fragranze, with the latest ideas from the world of international artistic and selective perfumery that constitutes an increasingly essential complement for the wardrobes of women today – featuring some of the exhibitors from the Pitti Immagine September event with the same title. The brands participating at this edition include: Calé Fragranze D'Autore, Histoires de Parfums, La Maison de la Vanille, Mad et Len, Scentbar and Simone Cosac Profumi.

And Vintage for Pitti W will be returning! For this edition it will be concentrating on the “remake” concept: a special layout will host the top companies that produce customized vintage, clothes subjected to innovative treatments or transformed through tailoring. The focus will be on the creative reclamation of recycled materials. The names for this edition include: .N.G.E.L.O. and Partners, Daniela Franceschini Handcrafted, Emak Bakia Vestirsi Vintage, Gioiesensibili, Heidi Ritsch, Moltosilvia, Saisei and Sanhistoire.

Designer Collection: focus on Made in Italy
Designer Collection is the Pitti W section for projects that best interpret the concept of design research in feminine elegance which, in January 2011, will be focusing on the excellence of Made in Italy: in fact, Designer Collection will be presenting an exclusive selection of clothing and accessories created by established designers as well as newcomers who are already known to members of the trade: a proposal dedicated to buyers from the most sophisticated and perceptive boutiques. A proposal created for buyers from the most perceptive and research-based boutiques who will be able to preview collections from: Barbara Boner, Cristiano Burani, Damadei, Mauro Gasperi, Raffaella di Montalban and Stephen Venezia.
