Salomão recounted that IBGM and Apex had taken around 35 Brazilian companies to 15 foreign fairs this year itself.
The fairs included one of the largest fairs in the Middle East, Jewellery Arabia, which took place from November 23 - 27, 2005, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
Natália also informed that the fairs and events that the Brazilian companies will participate in, during 2006, is being decided and will be published by February.
The industry is toiling towards adding value, especially by the means of unique and fresh, new designs.
Brazil is the second largest world producer of emeralds, the 14th producer of gold and occupies the 18th position in the rank of exporters. The country is also the only world producer of Imperial Topaz and Paraíba Tourmalines.
