In order to consolidate and enhance recognition of the Kappa, Robe di Kappa and Lanzera brands in Mexico, a prudent strategy of distribution through the country's main shopping centres and sportswear retailers will be implemented.

The strategy to improve brand visibility will benefit from the sponsorship agreement between Kappa and F.C. ATLAS A.C., the famous Guadalajara football team, and by marked investments in communication already planned for the other licensed brands.

Franco Spalla, BasicNet's CEO, said, “We are proud to have such an experienced partner who shares our vision of growth and sporting values and who has the financial and managerial resources to meet our common goals.”

David Betech, Chairman of Impulso Deportivo SA de CV, added, “We are very enthusiastic about working with one of the most innovative sportswear companies with brands that are truly reference points in a market we feel has significant growth potential.”

A few days ago BasicNet also signed a new agreement with Al Abiad Group to develop Kappa and Robe di Kappa brands in Egypt: licence was granted to distribute the brands for a period of 2 years with minimum guaranteed sales of 1.2 million dollars.

The new agreement is a strategic step in the growth plans for the Kappa and Robe di Kappa brand in the Middle East. Al Abiad Group, which has its offices in Cairo, has a deep-rooted presence in the area making it one of the main local retail operators.
