ELSALIA members to participate in leather exhibition in Dec

The Africa Federation of Leather and Allied Industries will stage an exhibition in Nairobi in December this year with a forum being sponsored by Nairobi-based Eastern and Southern Africa Leather Industries Association (ESALIA).
The exhibition will attract participants from ESALIA member countries, including Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The exhibition will be held against the backdrop of complaints that export of raw hides is crippling local tanneries.
Focus of the four-day show will be on manufacturers of leather machinery, chemicals and component suppliers as well as footwear and leather goods manufacturers.
