Goody's New Junction City Store coming soon with fresh fashion collection

Sporting goods retailer Goody's Family Clothing Inc is offering a latest, convenient way to shop for the latest fashions, shoes, and accessories with the grand opening of its newest location in Junction City on Thursday, August 4, 2005.

The new 26,263-square-foot Junction City store will be located at Goody's Plaza on E. Chestnut St. Local dignitaries and executives from Goody's corporate office in Knoxville, Tenn. will commemorate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shoppers are invited to celebrate the grand opening festivities at 9 a.m.

The first 300 customers will receive a goody bag with five lucky customers receiving a bag including a $100 giftcard. Throughout the grand opening weekend, shoppers will also have the opportunity to register to win an assortment of prizes including a $500 giftcard and family vacations.

“They are excited to offer the best in Goody's stores to Junction City,” said Bob Goodfriend, Goody's Chairman and CEO. “Goody's is very focused on providing shoppers current fashion trends at the lowest prices. We look forward to offering a one-stop shopping experience for family clothing to the Geary County community.”

Goody's district manager Richard Hunt added, “Goody's is pleased to welcome Junction City shoppers and to become a part of this growing market. The variety of brands and styles Goody's offers will ensure shoppers find what they are looking for.”

The Junction City location is one of six stores hosting grand opening ceremonies on August 4. New stores in Commerce, Ga., Elizabeth City, N.C., Terre Haute, Ind., and Cedar Bluff, Va. open their doors for the first time while shoppers in Kingsport, Tenn. will be greeted to a totally new shopping experience as the store moves to a new location.
