Men's and women's apparel and accessories seller Everlast Worldwide Inc announced a second expansion of its original licensing relationship with Sports and Leisure Technology Corporation (SLTC), a division of E&B Giftware, to include the production and marketing of a line of Everlast "Hand-X" products in South Africa. The company has served as Everlast's licensee for similar equipment in the U.S. and Canada for the past four years, and in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland since early 2005.

Under this expanded agreement, the Yonkers, NY-based Sports and Leisure Technology Corporation will market and sell in South Africa a line of "Hand-X" products, including jump ropes, hand weights, weight lifting gloves and belts, and handgrips. These products constitute a subcategory of the overall fitness products area and will be available for shipment to South African retailers in November 2005.

Everlast Worldwide Inc. will continue to manufacture and sell its full line of boxing equipment, including boxing gloves, speed bags, heavy bags, mats, rings and medicine balls. Also, Everlast will continue to exclusively manufacture and supply boxing gear and products for professional boxers.

George Q Horowitz, Chairman and CEO of Everlast Worldwide Inc, said, "A licensee's expansion into a new territory is testimony to the vitality, versatility and universal appeal of the Everlast brand. Company believe that Sports and Leisure Technology Corporation will be able to seamlessly introduce its high-quality, innovative products into South Africa and enjoy the same level of success they have seen in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland."
