Apparel shipments to Russia accounted for 2.13 per cent of China’s total apparel exports in the first five months of the current year. China’s total apparel exports stood at $55.939 billion during this period, according to sourcing intelligence tool TexPro.
In 2024, China’s apparel exports to Russia totalled $3,467.067 million, representing 2.26 per cent of its total apparel exports of $153.408 billion. Russia ranked as the thirteenth-largest market in that year.
Russia has emerged as a more important destination for China’s apparel exports in recent years. In 2022, Russia ranked eighteenth, with apparel imports from China totalling $2,835.534 million—1.69 per cent of China’s total apparel exports of $167.868 billion in that year.
During January–May 2025, China exported 577.566 million pairs of garments to Russia at an average price of $0.27 per pair. In addition, it exported 251.898 million units (average price: $4.05 per unit) and 1.321 million kg of garments (average price: $13.79 per kg) to the country.
In 2024, China exported 1,639.780 million pairs of garments (average price: $0.33 per pair), 637.780 million units ($4.47 per unit), and 4.358 million kg ($15.03 per kg) to Russia. In 2023, the shipments were 1,583.466 million pairs ($0.38 per pair), 650.500 million units ($4.41 per unit), and 3.792 million kg ($15.67 per kg), as per TexPro.
