Chandra Asri Group, through its subsidiary PT Chandra Asri Alkali (CAA), continues to strengthen the resilience of the national chemical industry as the construction progress of the Chlor Alkali and Ethylene Dichloride (CA-EDC) plant has officially reached 50%. The strategic facility located in Cilegon has entered the peak progress phase, marking a concrete step by the Company in creating a more independent and resilient domestic industrial ecosystem through strengthening local production capacity for basic chemicals.

Several key projects have been successfully completed, including the installation of the plant's main structure, the installation of the piping network, and the preparation of electrical connections to ensure the operational readiness of this world-class facility, which is targeted for commercial operation in the first quarter of 2027. In addition to strengthening industrial sovereignty, this project will significantly contribute to the national economy by absorbing approximately 3,000 workers during the construction phase and is projected to create 250 new jobs upon full operation. The initiative also involves local MSMEs as part of the Company’s sustainable operational ecosystem.
