Asian ethylene prices up last week from tight availability

Asian ethylene prices showed upward trend last week ending Sept 26, as compared to its previous week ending Sept 19, mainly due to tight product availability in the region.

Ethylene prices in various regions of Asia grew by 0.66% to 0.68% week-on-week last week.

In Korea, average prices were assessed last week at US$ 1515/ton, up US$ 10/ton as compared to average prices of US$ 1505/ton in its previous week.

In Japan, average prices were spotted at US$ 1485/ton last week, higher by US$ 10/ton versus average prices of US$ 1475/ton in its previous week.

In S E Asia and India, prices showed similar trend and average prices were at US$ 1515/ton last week against US$ 1505/ton in its previous week.
