Weak downstream prices push up Asian benzene trends

Benzene prices went up in Asia on Tuesday (7th Oct) due to weak downstream product prices in the region.

In Korea, benzene prices rose by US$ 25/ton or 2.14 percent and were assessed at US$ 1195/ton on Tuesday, as compared to Monday.

In Japan, prices also increased by US$ 25/ton or 2.13 percent and were quoted at US$ 1200/ton yesterday, as compared to Monday.

In the Indian market too, benzene prices hiked by US$ 25/ton or 2.12 percent and were offered at US$ 1205/ton on 7th Oct versus those on 6th Oct. (AR)
