Asian benzene prices fall from dull downstream last week

Benzene prices declined in Asia by the end of last week ending Oct 10, mainly due to lower upstream energy prices, dull downstream demand and fall in upstream product prices.

In the initial days of last week, benzene prices in Korea were assessed at US$ 1170/ton, which went up in the early days of the last week but showed downward trend towards the end of the week under preview and were assessed at US$ 1160/ton.

In Japan, prices showed similar trend and opened at US$ 1175/ton and declined to US$ 1165/ton by the end of last week.

In India, prices were spotted at US$ 1180/ton in the early days of the week and were assessed at US$ 1170/ton by the end of the week.
