Last week Asian ethylene plunges from ample availability

Ample of product availability coupled with weak downstream product prices in the region, plunged Asian ethylene trends in the last week ending Nov 15.

In Korea, average ethylene prices tumbled by US$ 70/ton or 5.49 per cent and were assessed at 1205/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Nov 8.

In Japan too, average prices dropped by US$ 65/ton and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton last week, down 5.12 per cent from its previous week.

In S E Asia, average ethylene prices moved down slower by US$ 15/ton or 1.18 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 1255/ton last week.

In the Indian market also, average prices came down by US$ 15/ton and were spotted at US$ 1255/ton last week against its previous week, a decline of 1.18 per cent.
