Driven by tight availability Asian PTA expands last week

Driven by tight product availability coupled with higher upstream energy prices, Asian PTA prices expanded in the last week ending Nov 22.

In FE Asia, average PTA prices mounted by US$ 10/ton or 1.30 per cent and were assessed at US$ 780/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Nov 15.

In the SE Asia market too, average PTA ascended by US$ 5/ton and were quoted at US$ 800/ton, up 0.63 per cent as against its previous week.

In the Indian market, average prices also mounted by US$ 10/ton last week from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 810/ton, a hike of 1.25 per cent.

In China also, average prices went up by US$ 5/ton or 0.65 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 770/ton last week.
