Asian benzene slips last week from lower upstream trends

Led by fall in upstream product prices and lower upstream energy prices in the region, Asian benzene prices slipped in the last week ending Nov 22.

In Korea, average benzene prices fell by US$ 25/ton or 2.51 per cent and were quoted at US$ 970/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Nov 15.

In Japan also, average prices declined by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 975/ton last week, down 2.50 per cent as against its previous week.

In India, average benzene prices too dipped by US$ 25/ton or 2.49 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 980/ton last week.
