Asian propylene prices drop last week

The prices of propylene, a key raw material in Acrylic value chain, declined in key Asian markets in the last week ending December 12, 2014, due to bearish buying sentiments coupled with weak downstream product prices in the region.
 
In Korean market, average prices of propylene were quoted at US$ 760 per ton in the last week, a decrease of $130 per ton or 14.61 per cent compared to the previous week ending December 5.
 
In Japan, average propylene prices were quoted at $795 per ton in the last week, a dip of $140 per ton or 14.97 per cent compared to previous week.
 
In Southeast Asia and Indian markets, average propylene prices were $850 per ton in the last week, a drop of $95 per ton or 10.05 per cent compared to the previous week.
