Ethylene prices drop in Asian markets last week

The prices of ethylene dropped in Asian markets in the last week ending December 12, 2014, due to weak upstream and downstream product prices in the region.
 
In Korea, average prices of ethylene were assessed at US$ 1015 per ton in the last week, showing a decline of $50 per ton or 4.69 per cent compared to the previous week ending December 5.
 
In Japan, average ethylene prices went down by $55 per ton or 5.14 per cent to $1015 per ton in the last week.
 
In Southeast Asian and Indian markets, average prices of ethylene went down by $55 per ton or 4.80 per cent, and were assessed at $1090 per ton in the last week.
