PTA prices fell in Asia in the last week ending Dec 26, due to ample of product availability coupled with poor downstream product demand in the region.

In SE Asia, average prices reduced by US$ 5/ton and were quoted at US$ 650/ton last week, down 0.76 per cent as against its previous week.
In the Indian market, PTA average prices also dipped by US$ 5/ton or 0.76 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 655/ton last week.
In China too, average prices slipped by US$ 15/ton and were offered at US$ 630/ton last week, as compared to its previous week, a decline of 2.33 per cent.
