Mute buying leads to Asian MEG dipping last week

Weak downstream product prices coupled with mute buying sentiments in the region led to Asian MEG prices dipping in the last week ending January 2.

In SE Asia, average prices fell by US$ 20/ton or 2.56 per cent and were assessed at US$ 760/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In India, average MEG prices also reduced by US$ 20/ton and were quoted at US$ 760/ton last week, down 2.56 per cent as against its previous week.

In China too, average prices slipped by US$ 20/ton and were offered at US$ 755/ton last week from its previous week, a decline 2.58 per cent.
