Ethylene trends up on Jan 15 in NE Asia, stable in rest

Ethylene prices went up in parts of Asia on Thursday (Jan 15) while they stayed stable in rest of Asia. Prices increased mainly due to increase in upstream energy prices and strong downstream demand.

In N E Asia, prices mounted by US$ 10/ton on Thursday to US$ 920/ton, as compared to US$ 910/ton on Wednesday.

Prices were stable in Korea, Japan and S E Asia at US$ 880/ton, US$ 870/ton and US$ 940/ton, respectively, on Jan 15 as against prices on Jan 14.
