LG Chem, a South Korea-based globally diversified chemical company, is planning to take off-stream its naphtha cracker for maintenance turnaround.

“Maintenance schedule is currently planned from 15 March to 20 April, 2015,” a company official told fibre2fashion.

The naphtha cracker is located at Daesan in South Korea and has capacity to produce 1000,000 tons per year of ethylene.

LG Chem manufactures a wide range of products, from petrochemical goods to high-value added plastics. It also extends its chemical expertise into high-tech areas such as electronic materials and rechargeable batteries.
