Asian MEG prices dip last week due to poor demand

MEG prices dipped in Asia in the last week ending Jan 16, due to poor downstream product demand in the region.

In SE Asia, average prices went down by US$ 20/ton or 2.78 per cent and were assessed at US$ 700/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In India too, average prices fell by US$ 20/ton and were quoted at US$ 700/ton last week, down 2.78 per cent from its previous week.

In China also, average prices slipped by US$ 25/ton and were spotted at US$ 690/ton last week, as against its previous week, a decrease of 3.50 per cent.
