Asian propylene surges from tight availability last week

Asian propylene prices surged in the last week ending Jan 16 from tight product availability in the region.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 30/ton or 4.51 per cent and were quoted at US$ 695/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 95/ton and were assessed at US$ 670/ton last week, up 16.52 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia too, average prices zoomed by US$ 65/ton and were spotted at US$ 685/ton last week as against its previous week, an increase of 10.48 per cent.

In India also, average prices propelled by US$ 65/ton or 10.48 per cent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 685/ton last week.
