Asian propylene surges last week from better sentiments

Propylene prices surged in Asia in the last week ending Jan 30 from improved downstream market sentiments.

In Korea, average prices rose up by US$ 55/ton or 7.38 per cent and were quoted at US$ 800/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices went up by US$ 60/ton and were assessed at US$ 775/ton last week, up 8.39 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia too, average prices mounted by US$ 60/ton and were offered at US$ 775/ton last week as against its previous week, an increase of 8.39 per cent.

In India also, average prices ascended by US$ 60/ton or 8.39 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 775/ton last week.

In China, average prices also increased by US$ 50/ton and were quoted at US$ 850/ton last week, up 6.25 per cent as compared to its previous week.
