Asian benzene ascends from upstream price hike on Feb 2

Asian benzene prices ascended on Monday (Feb 2) from increased upstream energy prices and downstream product prices along with higher feedstock prices in the region.

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 620/ton on Monday, higher by 3.33 per cent or US$ 20/ton as compared to prices at end of last week.

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 625/ton on Feb 2, also up 3.31 per cent or US$ 20/ton as against prices seen towards end of previous week.

In India too, prices showed similar trend and were seen at US$ 630/ton on Monday, an increase of 3.28 per cent from prices witnessed at end of last week.
