Embroidery machine imports rise 13% by July

According to the General Administration of Customs, during January-July 2006 China imported 1605 embroidery machines, up 12.71 percent from the same period of last year, with import value at US $64.49 million, growing 13.11 percent.

The average import price was $40200 per set, gaining 0.36 percent.

The top five importers in accumulative quantity were Guangdong with 1092 sets, rising 15.43 percent from the same period of previous year; Jiangsu with 338 sets, gaining 26.12 percent; Zhejiang with 60 sets, down 44.44 percent; Shanghai with 57 sets, increasing 67.65 percent; Shandong with 44 sets, ascending 41.94 percent.
