Imphal welcomes training centre on embroidery for women

In order to improve the existing state of Manipuri handicraft like embroidery, the Rotary Club of Imphal has taken a very constructive step.
On the 14 January, 2007, they inaugurated the Rotary Embroidery and Tailoring Training Programme at Community Corps Village at Awang Potsangbam Khunou in the eastern districts of Imphal.
Director of Social Welfare was present at the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
The training will start with six machines available at the centre under the direction and care of a professional instructor.
