Fibrix, a leading North American manufacturer of nonwoven polyester materials, has acquired specific assets of Custom Nonwovens, including personnel, multiple manufacturing lines, and intellectual property related to the production of furniture and bedding products. The acquisition increases Fibrix's manufacturing capacity in the Carolinas.

The acquisition establishes Fibrix as a leading producer of nonwovens in the Eastern United States. The acquisition, however, excludes CNI's manufacturing facility in New Albany, Mississippi.

The additional resources will facilitate faster deliveries and increased production capabilities. The acquisition is part of an overall growth strategy to establish manufacturing operations throughout the United States, allowing Fibrix to better serve regional, national, and multi-national customers.

"This acquisition allows us to better meet demand fuelled by the company's rapid growth. We're now positioned to offer a greater variety and volume of products than ever before, making Fibrix a more strategic supplier for an even wider base of customers," said Keith White, CEO and co-founder of Fibrix.
