Customer-oriented engineering company Uhde Inventa-Fischer AG announced that the most flexible and quality-wise top performing polyamide 6 plant of Zig Sheng worldwide, consisting of four individual lines, was put into operation in the winter 2005-2006 in Taiwan.
Uhde Inventa-Fischer implemented the latest technology, based on a unique and innovative polymerization process and plant design, proved by numerous polyamide 6 projects over the past decades. Subsequently Zig Sheng in Tao Yuan, Taiwan ordered another PA6 plant.
The PA6 plant complex reaches today a total capacity of 150,000 tons/year. Zig Sheng has in fact become one of the most successful PA6 producers in only six years.
Zig Sheng's first PA6 plant Back in 2000 the first polyamide 6 plant, consisting of 3 lines, was put into operation. Line 1 and 2 produces 140 mt/d PA 6 High Performance (HP) for high-speed spinning textile semi-dull chips from a single VK-tube.
Line 3 produces 70 mt/d HP textile bright chips while line 4, a re-polymerization process, produces 20 mt/d engineering plastics or further qualities feeding different niche markets. The textile lines consist of a single-stage VK-tube and the re-polymerization consists of a two-stage polymerization process.
Zig Sheng's new PA6 plant All new 4 lines have a nominal capacity of 50 mt/d, but this is almost the only thing in common in terms of the process capabilities, as each line operates for individual products.
