Global Sources' first-ever China Sourcing Fairs at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo has received high praise from buyers and exhibitors. Some of the world's largest buyers attended the two trade shows, Electronics & Components and Fashion Accessories, from April 15 to 18.

China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components buyers included representatives from IBM, NEC, Panasonic, Philips, RadioShack, Samsung, Skyworth, Staples, Vtech Electronics and others.

One buyer, Staples' Asia Sourcing Manager, Jeffrey Jiang, said, ''The Fairs were incredibly well-organized. And transportation couldn't have been easier. Just a one-minute train ride from Hong Kong Airport and I was at the Fair visiting suppliers.''

Buyer teams who visited the China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories included Coles Myer, Li & Fung, Baleno, Carrefour, Gap, Giorgio Armani, Levi Strauss, Marks & Spencer, Sisley, Swarovski, ThreeSixty Sourcing, Tommy Hilfiger and Nike.

One fashion accessories buyer, Dimodes' Delphine Masquelier, said, ''I already visited the show yesterday. The special nature of the Fair, featuring only fashion accessories, is perfect for us who deal only with fashion accessories.''

Another buyer, Stella Doca of Stella Doca-Pantelis Hatzifotiadis, said, ''I spent three days at the show. While seeing my existing suppliers from China, I met many new suppliers.''

Many of Asia's major manufacturers exhibited, including new suppliers from mainland China's emerging sourcing centers.
