Fabric-To-Fashion – New platform for young designers & exhibitors

"The collections of Fabric-to-Fashion will therefore be a true reflection of the strong collaboration between the two parties. It will also further illustrate how closely creation, function and fashion are connected," he added.

Each participating fabric manufacturer will be assigned a designer in order to produce garments, which will show innovative fabrics, impeccable craft and attention to detail. Once ready, the designs will be passed to some of Hong Kong's finest garment manufacturers for assembling.

The designs will be displayed throughout the fair in mannequin showcases in four groups: sportswear, casual, smart casual and evening wear. Visitors will be able to spend time to study the creations and the fabric manufacturers, designers and garment makers will be identified for each item, helping to connect buyers with potential suppliers.

Fabric-To-Fashion is organised by Messe Frankfurt and the Hong Kong Apparel Society (HKAS).

Interstoff Asia Autumn 2006 will run concurrently with Source It - an ASEAN event in Hong Kong.
