Pat Foure to host workshop on Environmentally Friendly Design at SAFW seminar

SA Fashion Week is going to organize a The SAFW Arts and Culture Fashion Seminar during 28 July to 31 July 2005.
Designing an environmentally friendly garment/accessory using recycled and natural materials.
They will bring along fabric waste offcuts, “organic cotton”, waste, some natural items and delegates then put them together.
Pat Foure Pat Foure is the director of the Clothing & Textile Environmental Linkage Centre which continued the message and work of the extremely effective Danish-funded Cleaner Textile Production Project by improving the awareness and knowledge of the users, designers and buyers of textile products in order to assist them in choosing textiles manufactured in more environmentally friendly ways.
The activities of the centre have included an environmentally friendly design competition and cleaner production training.
Pat Foure spoke on “Textiles and the Environment” at last year's SAFW Arts and Culture Fashion Seminar. In 2005 she will be hosting a workshop on Environmentally Friendly Design.
Rozanne Immerman Rozanne is a very talented, very busy 21 year old. In 2003 Rozanne won first place in both the Durban July Young Desigers Awards in the Avant Garde category and the South African Nederburg Young Designer Award.
The following year she was a finalist in numerous competitions including: Waste Art National, Durban July and the Canon Gold Cup. She was also offered an Elle Fashion Rail at the South African Fashion Week both in 2004 and 2005.
