The Symposium (interaction with Buyers & Buying Agents) and the 25th Knit Fair (Silver Jubilee edition) was inaugurated by SHRI E.V.K.S. ELANGOVAN, Hon”ble Minister of State for Textiles, Govt. of India in the presence of Shri R. Kuppanna, General Manager, SBI Mid Corporate Group, Mr. Ashok Rajani, Chairman, Export Promotion Committee, A.E.P.C. and Shri A. Sakthivel, Chairman, IKFA and amongst others.
More than 400 Trade related persons participated in the meet. Shri A. Sakthivel, Chairman, IKFA Welcome the gathering and the interaction was very much fruitful and suggestive.
Terming the sluggishness in the textile export trade in the wake of strengthening of rupee against dollar, Union Minister has promised the exporting community to solve the problem sooner and said the government was very much aware of the seriousness of the problem.
