The mission of Montréal Fashion Week is to promote Québec designers to the fashion industry, buyers and journalists.

Created in September 2001 by Liaison Mode Montréal, Montréal Fashion Week is set to hold its 9th edition. From the time it was first launched, this event has allowed the fashion press and buyers to discover emerging labels.

Montréal Fashion Week is proud to confirm the participation of the biggest names in fashion from here at home. Scheduled for October 24 to 28, this event will be held at the heart of the city's prestigious Quartier international.

A rich program! In fact, Dubuc, Marie Saint Pierre, Envers, Muse, Morales, Rudsak, Mackage, Second, Falbala, Andy Thê-Anh, Antonio Ortega Haute Couture, Denis Gagnon, Parasuco, have all eagerly agreed to take part in the most glamorous event of the Fall 2005 season in Montréal.

LABoratoire créatif (7 independent designers), Collectif "L'absolu" (6 designers), Dinh Ba Design, MPhildor, Aqualara, Fairyesque, Charlie, Hida and Anne de Shalla, Charlotte Bloom Maternité, will also be taking part in this highly colourful event. In fact, a total of 34 well-known designers will be introducing their 2006 Spring-Summer collection to buyers, journalists and other industry professionals.

Organizers are also delighted to announce the participation of two new major partners, i.e. P&G Beauté and Hotel W. As was the case with previous editions, Montréal Fashion Week will once again benefit from the invaluable collaboration of the ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Exportation), the ministère des Affaires municipales et des Régions Department of Municipal Affairs and Regions), the City of Montréal, and Industry Canada.
