Wrapping up a successful week, BC Fashion Week (BCFW) Spring/Summer 2006 celebrated with style, complete with high profile guests, parties and, most of all, trendsetting designs.

The fashion week took place at the Performance Works Theatre on Granville Island in Vancouver, Canada.

It was a busy week in Vancouver at the beginning of October with British Columbia Fashion Week and the Vancouver International Film Festival but Lisa Ray, one of Canada's top actresses, was one of many celebrities who thrive in this hectic environment and she did it while wearing creations from Canadian designers.

Included in her whirlwind week of activities was attending the opening evening of BC Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2006, celebrating the 20 years of fashion of JC Studio.

BC Fashion Week Executive Creative Director Vladimir Markovich announced that British Columbia Fashion Week is pleased to have eyes focused on Canadian fashion and what better way than through audiences and personalities that are wearing Canadian designs. As spokesperson for RADO watches, a BCFW partner, Lisa's attendance at BC Fashion Week helped illustrate the international caliber of the support there is for this prestigious event, celebrating our second season.

RADO has donated a watch that will be part of the merchandising for BCFW this season. Limited edition handbags have been created by Canadian designer Wanny Tang and only 200 are available for sale.

Debra Walker, Executive Director BCFW stated that those who have purchased a bag are the only names going into a draw for a RADO watch, valued at CDN$3,000. Partial proceeds of these sales will be going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The bags were on sale throughout BC Fashion Week and will continue to be available through the BC Fashion Week offices.
