Organiser of several textile trade shows across the globe, Messe Frankfurt Group said it will end 2016 with a net profit of €60 million, a marked improvement on the previous year. In 2016, for the second time in a row, the trade show organiser is expecting to cross €640 million in sales, which will be comparable with those reached in the prior year.

“Messe Frankfurt is the world’s highest-grossing organiser with its own exhibition grounds, while this year’s EBITDA too will be better than last year’s figure and set a new record,” CEO Wolfgang Marzin said, while presenting the group’s preliminary key figures for 2016.

According to Messe Frankfurt, in 2016, a total of 138 trade fairs and exhibitions were held worldwide under the Messe Frankfurt umbrella, featuring around 92,300 exhibitors, more than ever before, while all its shows put together attracted more than 3.5 million visitors. (AR)
