Woolmark is one of Australia's oldest recognized brands, and according to the Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) the brand forms the base of new market expansion.
As stated by Dr. Paul Swan, Wool Quality Manager at AWI, Woolmark is providing credibility to new luxury Chinese brands, which to a larger extent are stimulating growth and confidence in wool at present.
According to Dr. Swan, Tasmania's unique fine wools are now associated with well-recognized and most sought-after European labels, and also with emerging Chinese textile brands.
