After the announcement of the new Ispo China summer 06 to take place August 21-24, 2006 in Shanghai's New International Expo Center, Messe München International as the organizer of the International Tradeshow for Sports, Fashion and Lifestyle Brands in Asia declared the new location for the Ispo China winter 07 to be the nation's capital Beijing.
The recent and rapid development of winter sports in China is strongly stimulated by the Beijing region. In its first year in Beijing, the Ispo China winter 07 (March 14-17, 2007) with a strong focus on snow sports and other winter activities will take place at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center.
With this new venue, Ispo China is in close proximity to the main ski and snowboard resorts of China, the centers of active tourism and the home to the majority of the Chinese key snow sports retailers and sporting goods industry. Due to its population of approx. 13 million, Beijing is the economical and cultural center in China.
With the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Beijing, the city and the population also experienced a rapid growth of general interest in sports and an obvious development of the region's retail scene.
13,500 square meters of exhibition space are already reserved at the new hall of the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing. There, the tradeshow will host the large number of international brands with subsidiaries in and around Beijing, which will present theirnew products and innovations to the large number of retailers expected at the winter edition of Ispo China.
