Mitsubishi Kashima MEG plant shuts for turnaround

Japan-based Mitsubishi Chemical has shut a monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant for a maintenance turnaround. 
 
“The plant was shut on June 19, 2013 for a turnaround and is expected to remain off-stream for around 18 days,” a Mitsubishi official informed fibre2fashion. 
 
Located in Kashima, Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
