Although wool fabrics are becoming lighter in weight this season, they retain their warmth, and even traditio nally 'heavyweight' garments such as winter coats are lighter and softer than previously. In menswear the theme continues with soft woollen felts and fine gauge boiled wool.
Traditional masculine fabrics such as tweeds and herringbone are combined with subtle and weightless embossed motifs. Compact and fine weaves create smooth surfaces with understated effects only visible upon movement.
Continuing with this natural theme the Woolmark stands are inspired by 'A Walk in the Forest' and the Pure Natural Comfort of Merino Wool, and will feature trend boards and over 300 swatches which highlight the four key trends for Autumn/Winter 2007/2008; Hush, Horizon, Mystify and Rhythm.
In addition to the Autumn/Winter trends, the Woolmark stand will also be launching the colour, yarn and fabric trends, showing new wool directions for the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2008 season.
