Hbc also encourages associates to personally conserve energy while at work and at home through the distribution of an annual 'how to' guide. This guide was distributed to the Company's 70,000 associates nation-wide. The Company also participates in the Government of Canada's One Tonne Challenge. Through this initiative, Hbc encourages customers to reduce their personal energy consumption by purchasing energy efficient products like the Energy Star line of appliances, electronics and lighting.
