Iconic workwear brand Yakka introduces WoolScience in Koolgear

Famous Australian clothing company, Yakka has launched a new range of performance workwear that will keep wearers cool and dry in the harshest Aussie weather conditions.
Hard Yakka Koolgear uses a unique blend of innovative design and specialised fabrics that integrate the characteristics of Woolmark's Woolscience to help regulate body temperature in extreme heat.
Garments are made from high performance fabrics, which boast differing features designed to suit the most demanding working conditions Australia has to offer The Hard Yakka Koolgear range of long and short sleeved, high-visibility, polo design shirts use Woolscience fabrics as part of their newly released range.
Each garment has an excellent sun protection rating of UPF 50+ and incorporates a mixture of underarm and upper body mesh cooling vents. This ensures the wearer remains cool and dry by generating airflow to the body, which quickly evaporates perspiration.
Woolscience is a trademark of The Woolmark Company and combines wool's insulation and wicking attributes with hardwearing polyester to offer comfort and performance. The Extra Fine Merino wool transfers the moisture vapour from the skin through the polyester for quick drying.
The Woolscience fabric range is a further development of the Sportwool technology tailored to the requirements of workwear , safety and military end uses. Features such as High Visibility, Fire Redundancy and Anti Static properties can be incorporated in the fabric as required.
