“Woolscience Vapour Management Comfort Technology provides well-being and protection which helps keep the wearer cool and dry when working under extreme heat or endurance conditions. Endurance performance is helped through wool's ability to manage vapour and thermal changes, keeping the user more comfortable in hot or cold climates and conditions, allowing them to work or perform harder for longer.”
As well as having the naturally inherent properties of wool, Woolmark's Woolscience fibres are ideal for holding the vibrant fluoro colours necessary for high visibility garments.
“This combination of factors, together with built in UV protection, make Woolscience the ideal choice for base layer garments used in the military, armed services and industrial workwear where performance and protection is paramount,” adds Ms McGahan.
Yakka has been making hard wearing workwear for Australians since the 1930's and all Hard Yakka Koolgear garments comply with the highest Australian standards for strength and durability.
Woolscience fabrications were selected after an extensive in-field trail process over an 18 month period.
The trial teams worked closely on the new developments with Woolmark and their manufacturing partners, Melba Industries, in Victoria, Australia. Yakka's high performance Koolgear is available nationally through Yakka stockists.
