The success of another young designer, Ella Robinson of Loughborough University's School of Art and Design, was also recognised during the evening. Ella is the winner of the SDC-sponsored 2006 Texprint Colour Prize and was pleased to receive a commemorative SDC scroll, presented to her by Katharine Hamnett.
Ella's designs feature creative three dimensional structures comprising individual slivers of a variety of materials including paper, textiles, plastics and cork in bright and vibrant colour combinations.
All the finalists were also presented with design books relating to their specific subject areas, sponsored by Academy Digital Colour of Belfast.
