NSW Merino producers will hear first-hand how international fashion and retail brands are winning the hearts of consumers with new Australian Merino wool at the AWI Innovation in Action forum in Armidale on 14 November.
The 'Merino in Fashion' panel discussion and open forum will feature designers and marketers behind renowned clothing brands such as Driza-Bone, Polo Ralph Lauren and Purely Merino at the Armidale Ex-Services Memorial Club, Dumaresq Street, from 8.30am.
Woolgrower's will have the unique opportunity to meet the expert panellists, ask questions directly about new markets for Australian Merino wool and touch and feel the latest product innovations destined for retail shelves.
Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) is hosting the forum immediately before the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM), to give woolgrower's an insight into how levies are being co-invested with business partners to build demand for Australian Merino wool and improve on-farm productivity.
“Working with Merino wool has given us the opportunity to develop a sportswear range that maintains our truly unique Australian quality while capturing the attention of consumers and retailers around the world,” says Rod Williams, Driza-Bone Chief Executive and panellist at the Armidale forum.
The legendary Australian clothing company has been working with AWI to develop a new international sportswear range targeting today's active consumers.
